“Hello, World!”
Welcome to Machines Learned! I am thrilled to have you here. My name is Haldun, and I hold a Master’s degree in Data Science. I’m deeply passionate about Artificial Intelligence, particularly Machine Learning. After years of being a passive learner, I’ve decided to take a step into the unknown and become an active learner in the field, and thus created this website. I’ll return to this point later, but first, let’s talk about what you can gain from this blog.
What Machines Learned Means for You
If you ever wanted to learn more about AI, you’ve likely encountered one of the biggest challenges of modern internet—Information pollution. Like every other trending topic, AI also suffers from it. While it is not hard to find information about AI, if you don’t have any experience or previous knowledge about the particular topic you want to learn, it can be difficult to identify bad explanations, poorly written tutorials, or outdated tech stacks.
This is where Machines Learned comes in. This blog will provide intuitive and easy-to-understand explanations for people who want to get into AI. At the same time, it’ll offer concise, efficient implementation of current tech stacks for those who are already familiar with the concepts and want to take it further. In the coming weeks, you can look forward to articles that explore what Machine Learning even means, how a computer can even learn at all, and exploration of the mechanics that allow it to learn, such as gradient descent.
To Be Both a Student and a Teacher
Now, coming back to my earlier point about becoming an active learner: AI is such a vast and evolving field that mastering it all is nearly impossible for a single person. And with the rapid pace of advancements in the tech stack, continuous learning is essential. That is to say, I don’t have all the answers.
On this journey, I’ll be learning just as much as my readers. My writing will likely evolve and mature over time. And I’ll for sure make errors and have people point it out to me. That is exactly what I want! So please, don’t shy away from engaging with me in the comments. Just like AI, people need feedback and evaluation to learn.
Let’s learn together.
